What a week!

Holy cow this week has been CRAZY! We had interviews with President and Sister Porter this week and then we also had Zone Meeting and then yesterday we were in Ohio for the Sister's Conference! It has been so great and there have been miracles going on all around!

The Sister's Conference was so great! We got to hear from President and Sister Porter. President Porter talked about the doctrine of womanhood. And it was some deep stuff! My head usually hurts after he talks to us for a while because he just understands so much! The Sister Training Leaders talked to us about the Atonement and how we can best use it, how to be appropriate with the Elders and how to see ourselves as God sees us.  We also had a clothing item swap, learned a kick-box cardio routine and played fun games. It was really great to spend a day with all of the sisters in the mission. The spirit was really strong and helped me to learn things that I needed to. 

I just want you all to know that the power of Christ's Atonement is real. It can change us. It is what heals us and helps us to become more than what we are. I know that I am seeing that and learning how to rely on that out here. I know that life can be hard, but that Heavenly Father will send His spirit to teach us how to get through it. He will strengthen us. We are never alone.

Oh and you can find peppermint ice cream in Walmart in October now. My mind was blown. But my stomach was really happy because everyone knows that peppermint ice cream is delicious!

Sweet Caroline

I hope that you all sang the subject line in your head. Preferably out loud. If not you should do so now (: Because we have been singing it all week! Our district leader Elder Price sings it to us often too. It's spreading over Muncie North Zone (:

But we have been singing it because CAROLINE WAS BAPTIZED! It was such a great spiritual experience! And she is already planning to go and see each temple in the United States. She is temple crazy. Caroline was a referral from her sister who is a member in our ward. And her daughter is a member of the YSA here. It was really cool to see that her heart was softened and that right now was her time to hear the gospel and accept it. Because when her sister and daughter were baptized she was opposed to it. But her baptism was so great and she is just so ready to progress in this gospel. It's amazing to see God's work.

And I got stung by a bee for the first time in my life! And the member's that we were doing service for have a whole bookshelf dedicated to bee things! I laughed at that and then took a picture next to it with my large bee sting on my arm to remember forever (: And to share with you!

The Women's conference was AMAZING! It was my first one to watch because the last one in April I was in the MTC and they saved it for the following week, but then I was already in Indiana. It is crazy that this week I have been on my mission for six months. I have learned a lot and changed a lot. But I always get emotional when I get to hear the prophets and leaders of this church. 

I hope that everyone this week takes the opportunity to sit down and hear what God has in store for you in General Conference. The prophet and his apostles will speak to us and if we are not prepared for the message, we might miss it. I know that when we listen, the Spirit will help us. 

I know that Heavenly Father loves us.

And I love all of you!

Reds

This week was crazy busy! We went to the Cincinnati Reds Baseball game this past Monday for preparation day with the mission and it was so fun to see all the missionaries that I haven't seen in forever and to get to talk to them! 

On our way to the game Sister Denison had to go and do something for President Porter in Kentucky and so on Monday I was in three states!! Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky! (: 

This week we also had our mission wide social media split! And it was a huge success! So many pictures got posted to the internet to share what the missionaries are doing and the members bearing testimony. There was even one picture that my zone leaders showed me today that Elder Bednar had asked about! That made my whole day!

And today was transfer calls and I was feeling a little nervous to leave because I have been in Muncie my whole mission... But Sister Brown is STAYING! I don't even know what I am going to do when I have to leave this place. It is just home. And I am so excited to continue working with Sister Driesel in this area. We have our friend Caroline on date for the 27th of this month! And she is doing so great! 

Also on the 27th is the General Women's broadcast and I am SO excited for that since it will be my first one! I was in the MTC when the first one was broadcast and they saved it for the following week to show to the Sisters when the Elders were watching the Priesthood session but then we flew out and never got to see it. And I am SO excited for General Conference as well!

This week has just been a week of miracles! I love being a missionary! Have a great week everyone!

Take Me Out To The BALLGAME!

Hey family! So this will be short because President Porter has arranged for the whole Ohio Cincinnati Mission to go the the Cincinnati Reds baseball game tonight!! Which means that we have to drive down to Cincinanti! I am so excited to go! 

And the work here is going great! So much is going on and it is great to hear from all of you! Happy Birthday to Kai Brown this week too! If you see the best little brother in the world please give him a HUGE hug for Sister Brown! 

Things are going great here in Muncie Indiana! We are still teaching Caroline and Diane and yesterday Caroline came to church and loved it and also we talked to her about quitting her coffee addiction and she really felt the spirit and knows that it is something that the Lord is going to help her to do! 

This is Sister Bigham who is my Indiana Grandma. She reminds me a TON of Grandma Carol. And she is always doing missionary work with us and is HILARIOUS! I just love her so much!

Reporting for Duty!

Today we are disneybounding as Pain and Panic from Hercules! Sister Driesel is brilliant and came up with it! So of course the quote: "Pain! And Panic! Reporting for duty!" has been in my head all day long! 

Being a missionary is awesome!

I hope you all know that #catnation is a thing here in Muncie. Calls are always ended with a meow. And we talk about cats frequently. I am leaving my pawprint here in Muncie for sure. All the cat shirts and cat memes and cat hangers had to eventually leak out into the whole Muncie North Zone!

It is a beautiful thing.
